My project brief for this work was to create an unconventional calendar. I decided to focus on the way our faces record the events of our lives. I interviewed and photographed 93 year old Magdah Wohl, a Hungarian Holocaust survivor with an amazing story. She told me about the happiest and saddest times of her life and I wrote them in her smile lines and her worry lines on a large scale photograph. The character in her face reflected her full and complicated life.
